What Roundtable Is

Roundtable is a private group video messaging app. It lets invited members record and share video or voice messages, comments, reactions, replies, scratchpad notes, and notifications inside member-only groups.

Information We Handle

Roundtable stores account and profile details such as your name, email address, password hash, profile image, settings, group memberships, sessions, passkeys, MFA state, and notification preferences. It also stores uploaded media, posters, captions, transcripts, summaries, comments, reactions, bookmarks, scratchpad pages, and activity notifications needed to run the app.

Uploaded Media And Group Content

Videos, audio, comments, reactions, and scratchpads are scoped to groups or to your private account. Group members can see group content according to membership and role permissions. Local deployments store uploads on the server filesystem under the app's upload directories.

Notifications And Email

Roundtable can send in-app notifications, Web Push notifications, and email. Email delivery uses a third-party email provider when configured. Push subscriptions are stored per device and can be removed from settings.

AI Features

If enabled, Roundtable may send uploaded media to an AI transcription service and may use transcripts or scratchpad text to generate summaries or suggestions. You can opt out of AI processing for your videos and scratchpads in account settings. API keys stay server-side.

Data Requests And Deletion

You can request a data export or full deletion review from support. The current self-delete flow disables login, removes sessions and push subscriptions, and anonymizes the profile. Group history may retain posts as "Deleted user" unless a full deletion request is reviewed separately.
